OMG it's Christmas!

I cannot believe that it is Christmas already...seriously. There are so many things that I can think to talk about during this season. Really, there is just something about the holiday season that just brings this warm feeling to my heart, where everything can not be going according to "plan", multiple bad days, stress and everything else and then some going wrong, just thinking about what is really important about this time of year really does bring a overwhelming joy to my heart. I tend to allow a lot of outside things wear on me, and recently I've pretty much turned over a new stone, just to live and let go.

The most important reason of this season, of course Jesus, and the love from God above. All the blessings that we have in our lives, couldn't of been done without Him. Family - WOW, I cannot say how family has played such an important role in my life. My family has kept me grounded, and I'm so grateful to have been surrounded by people who care. My husband - double wow.... I seriously cannot imagine my life without him, we've had many trials and obstacles, we thrive on each other, and there's no other way that I'd want to be. I love him so much. We cannot forget the beebily-eebilys/beebs/beverly/BeBe.... OH MY GOSH, BeBe, has been such a treasure to our little Logan family. She's my best friend and keeps me company while Skyler works hard on his graveyards, she's an awfully good guard dog ;) and just has been the best addition to the Cain household.
{Yes, this is a common sitting position of BeBe, she thinks she is part human ;) }

I guess the whole point of this post is, yes, Christmas and the gifts are awesome, but even better is the small blessings, that are often overlooked by the stress, and business of everyday life. The holidays allow for a break from work and school and just time to focus on what is real.

{I thought for sure that what I heard was BeBe getting into a present, nope just my boot}

I hope that everyone has a fabulous Christmas!

Mr. & Mrs. Cain - 1 Year Anniversary

It's very hard to believe that it has been one year! There aren't many words that I can use to express just how blessed I am, and lucky I am, to be in love with my best friend. We've gone through so much together, and have more mountains to climb together, and there isn't anyone else that I would ask to be by my side. Through thick and thin, no matter what, always and forever. I love you Skyler Cain!
{Here's a select few photos of our adventures...}

It Started like this.... We were so scared and nervous, and anxious... or maybe I just was... but this photo really shows just how I felt 1 year go today!
!
And this is how it is now....I love this guy! I cant imagine my life any other way, or with anyone else.

And here is in between!

Oooh December

My cute BeBe:
{Try and say that didn't just warm your heart ;) }

Well it's officially December, and OFFICIALLY tooooo cold!!! {especially after being in delicious 80 degree, California, beach, awesomeness}

BeBe in her Coat, keeping warm on her favorite spot on the couch.

I got our Christmas tree set up, and I am pretty impressed with my decorating skills, I'm not going to lie, I just fell in love with turquoise and silver, so I decided to do that theme on our tree this year. It's pretty hard for me to believe that this will be our 2nd Christmas as the Cain's, our first with our little BeBe, and our first in our own home. I'm not exactly sure what our plans are, but we'll get them figured out.

Oh yeah, it's officially FINAL'S week...blegh... I'll be excited when this week is over, but more excited when I never have to take a final again, which unfortunately isn't too soon. Nothing really new and exciting, I'm just tired a lot lately, and worn out... but hey, life of the full time college student, and full time employee....I'll post more about the festivities, this is my second favorite time of year, summer of course being the first... I just cannot get over the music, the feel that everyone "likes" each other, whether they really do or not, it's just a nice feeling. There's just something about the holidays that makes me warm inside, when it's cold and frigid outside. Stay warm everyone, and stay tuned...

Who wouldn't want this little gremlin under their tree?

California 2009 - Take 3

Our trip to California was FABULOUS! Of course, we would not of expected anything different... there really isn't anything to NOT love about that place.

We had a good drive, we left right after Skyler ended work and I drove to St. George and partly through California, and then traffic got crazy, so I made Skyler drive the rest. BeBe did so great on the drive, she really didn't have any problems or anything.

We made a pit-stop in St. George and visited with Skyler's dad, it was so great to see him, we haven't seen him since the wedding. He has a new dog named Bambi, and she's the cutest, unknown breed of dog, ever. Her and BeBe wore each other out!

Upon arriving in California, BeBe had finally met her long distance boyfriend, Pickles, and they hit it off! Although BeBe was dominating in the relationship, I think she misses Pickles, but Pickles doesn't miss BeBe.

BeBe and Pickles {Looking for Skyler and Chris}

We took the animals, including our husbands, to the beach, and it was a little nippy, but still very nice. Chris was throwing sticks out when the tide went down for the dogs, and they'd chase after them... Then an unexpected wave came up, took Chris by surprise, and while BeBe was sitting watching Chris run to shore, a wave engulfed her, and she still sat there like, WTF! It was the cutest thing ever.

It was such a good time, I can't say that there's any place that I'd rather be. It was such a relief to finally be around really great good friends, hang out with nothing planned, and just be real. It's something that I personally feel that I lack where I'm at now.... Enjoy our photos!!!

A Time for Thanks....

So, Skyler, BeBe and I will be out of town this Thanksgiving... where at you might ask?? Well California of course. I'm starting to think that after being to California three times this year already ...is starting to suggest something of our feelings of the state. hehe. It's true, we are planning on moving there someday, but only after we finish school, and since we're both so close, it might actually happen sooner than we planned. And the snow isn't helping us want to stay... we were made for the sun, and warm weather, and of course our best friends being there, that of course helps.

this picture is hijacked from the interweb...
it's a google image of a sunset in Camarillo... awwww lovely!!
instead we are experiencing this currently...
BLEGH... cold+snow=no bueno

We've just been busy with school, I know, I know, same story... but we have only a couple weeks left, and that's just great, I cannot wait for a break, and this is my most favorite time of year, besides summer.

I'm super excited for Thanksgiving this year, not only because we will be in California, but we'll be going to Medieval Times in Anaheim, which will be quite interesting. The biggest downer in this, is missing a always delicious dinner made by my mom and family... and not being able to be there. But we're getting the opportunity to spend some time with Skyler's dad, which will be fun too.

So since we'll be out of town, I don't think that I'll be able to do a post then, so I will do my post today.

First and foremost...
I am very very very Thankful for my family. They are the foundation of my life, have been there for me through thick and thin, and have always been a motivation and inspiration to be a better person, and a stronger one as well.
I don't think that I say it enough, and it's more difficult living in a different town from everyone, but I am so grateful for my mom and my sisters, they're my best friends, and there's nothing better than having that to fall back on... My little brother, he's the spark in our life, and always encourages me to be a better example and to try new things...my dad... I don't know what I'd do without him, whether it's fixing up around the house, or on my car or just advice about anything in life, he's always got an answer that will make you feel better.... {or worse, depending on what you did...lol} I just love my family, and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.

Secondly.... Skyler Cain... WOW is all I can say.. We're already coming up on our 1st anniversary of being married... {3rd of dating} and I can't even express into words just how much I love this guy. We've been through so much in really not a lot of time, but we've grown so much together as well, it's been a pretty incredible journey... and it's only just begun! {how cliche is that? :P} He's the definition of reliable, stable, loving, caring, OMG there's so many words in the dictionary, I can't even choose just a few. He's been my best friend through thick and thin, of course brought out my most inner nerd, he's intelligent, and most of all he's just Skyler. That's what I love the most about him... we don't have to be around anyone, or anything or doing anything, just laying together, or playing WoW together, or watching tv, or just talking, and those are times/moments that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. I'm not the very best at expressing myself to him, so I just wanted to let him know that I love him very very much, and wouldn't want anything to change for anything or anyone. He also is a fabulous dad to our BeBe... can't you see him being the perfect dad of our baby? :)......NOT FOR A WHILE!!!!!!

Last, but not least... God... Without God, I wouldn't be here for starters, and though I don't have a very "religious" way of expressing my gratitude... I'm so very spiritually thankful for all that He's created and allowed me to be and do.

I know that this is a very wordy post, but when it comes to just sitting here writing down a few thoughts... sometimes it's a miracle that more isn't wrote down.

Thanksgiving shouldn't just be the only time that you express what you feel about those important to you in your life, it should be done all times, and though our/my world just gets so crowded and busy with "life", I hope that being able to express in a little blog post, gets my point out across about how much people are more important to me than... things....

Hope that everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving... and an exciting Black Friday...shoot that's what it's all about ... right???

Our "Fancy" Photo Shoot

Skyler, BeBe and I had our photo shoot with Ciara Richardson {Fancy Bred Photography} a couple weeks ago, and I was SUPER excited to get the pictures back, and as you can probably tell already, she did a phenomenal job! I wanted Ciara to capture not only the beautiful Fall scenery, but also our newest member of our family. BeBe just showed Ciara how much personality that she has, and even though she can be crazy, she sure can be a cutie! I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures, and if anyone is interested, just click the link above to find out more information about Fancy Bred Photography!

I just think that that picture was so awesome, I love how BeBe was starting to fall asleep!

This picture was towards the end of the shoot, and BeBe was cold and crawled into Skyler's shirt...lol

Just Skyler and I, can you guys believe it, 11 months already!!! We've almost been married for a year!

Sweet little BeBe, just fell asleep in our arms...

BeBe - - Look at those ears! ;)

Lady Bug BeBe - Her first Halloween Costume!

I was soo excited when I saw a glimpse of the pictures on her blog, and like I said, I can't wait to see the rest.

Well, it's November, and that pretty much says it all in itself. I'm not a big fan of snow and cold, and I know Skyler isn't either, so we're just hoping we have a quick winter. We're getting close to finishing up the semester, and let me tell you what, I am POOPED! I literally fall asleep in the car when Skyler picks me up from work, or if he talks to me when I get home, it's just been a tough semester, but I know I can speak for us both in saying that we'll be glad when it's over. One semester closer to graduating!!

We haven't been really up to anything new, this past week, the clutch that Skyler ordered for his car finally arrived, and his car is in the shop getting fixed... I'm a little scared to see what that will run us, but the good thing is, is that it'll be fixed!! We also set up the HD satellite dish, and wow, that was quite the task....after what seemed hours and hours, we miraculously got a signal! I must say that if there is anything better than having a 65" TV, it's having 65" TV with HD programming! It's like putting the best pair of glasses ever! {not to mention all my favorite shows come in HD}

BeBe is growing so fast, she's gained about 4 pounds from when we got her! She has her class at PetSmart, where she is doing really well, and not to be a bragging parent or anything, but she's better than the rest of the puppies ;) and cuter of course! She's learned to sit, lay down, leave it, take it, drop it, and walk on her leash really well! I just can't believe how much she's changed, everyone laughs at her really big ears, I just hope her head grows into her ears!

We are still planning to visit Skyler's dad and hang out with our good friends in Vegas over Thanksgiving, and I'm so looking forward to setting up the Christmas tree, and decorating for Christmas! Besides being sooo cold and wet and cold, this is one of my favorite times of the year. We're approaching our 1 year anniversary landmark, and I can't believe it! This year has just flown by, we've gone through so much together, and have grown so much, it's just been amazing.

I can't wait for the holidays!

Quick Update!

Well, October is pretty much gone, can you believe it??? I can't! We've still just been busy with school and work and all the joys that come with being parents to a new puppy! Skyler is getting his teeth finished {he had a bridge removed and an implant placed, after he had braces for a year} and it's great to think that all that dental work will soon be coming to an end!!!!

On Sunday, my car decided to break down.........BOOOOO! So it turns out that the distributor, rotor and coils were broke {whatever those are}. So we took it into the local autoshop and had everything replaced, and my car is back up and running! It was just horrible timing, because monday's are our most hectic days, and Skyler's car is still broke.... so I'm glad that we were able to get that fixed. ;)

We love our little BeBe, she is getting big... soooo fast! Here are some of the pics of her that I just took on my phone.. My camera battery charger is MIA so the picture quality isn't the best. She had her first vet appointment last Friday, and even though she's just a puppy, I cringed when they gave her her shots, even though I do that to human babies at work!! I know it's terrible :( BeBe also had her first class at PetSmart, and has learned how to sit! She has such a strong personality, and knows how to wear Skyler and I out, but she has just been a lovely addition to our family!

We are getting our pictures taken by Ciara Richardson: Fancy Bred Photography, this week, and I'm super excited, because BeBe will be in them too!

Other than that, that's pretty much it for now! It has snowed here officially, I say BOOOO to that too! Bring on the Beach and warm weather for us! We'll be going to Vegas with Skyler's dad next month over Thanksgiving, so that will be a fun vacation! Until next time, stay warm out there ;)
